Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find the right ring size?

The tool includes a ring size measurer. You calibrate your screen against a bank card, then either place an existing ring over an on-screen circle or measure the finger with a paper strip. Sizes run from 44 to 62, which is the inner circumference in millimetres.

What is the difference between a solitaire and a halo setting?

A solitaire holds a single stone in prongs, so nothing competes with the diamond. A halo surrounds the centre stone with a ring of small diamonds, which makes the centre stone read larger and adds sparkle.

Which diamond shape looks largest for the same carat weight?

Elongated shapes — oval, marquise and pear — spread more surface area face-up than a round of the same weight, so they generally appear larger on the finger.

What does a comfort fit band mean?

A comfort fit band is rounded on the inside surface that touches the finger rather than flat. It slides on more easily and is usually more comfortable for everyday wear.

Is the 3D preview an exact picture of the finished piece?

No. The preview is an accurate schematic that reflects your chosen shape, carat range, metal colour, setting and band, so you can judge proportions and style. The finished handmade piece will differ in fine detail.

Can I send a photo of a piece I saw somewhere else?

Yes. The tool has an upload route where you can attach up to five photos, note what caught your eye, and leave your details so we can come back to you.
